In 2006 I discovered that my neighbour in Caribou Harbour, Nova Scotia had amassed and installed a wonderful collection of Victorian era needlework mottos in her century old guest house. Since then my neighbour has died, the guest house has been demolished while the mottos remain together on this project site as a collection and reflection of Victorian ethos.

Browse 175 Mottos on the project site.
